Installing the Poser Clip Libraries for TextPad 4 ----------------------------------------------- 1. Make sure you have already downloaded and installed the TextPad application. If you have not already done so, go to http://www.textpad.com to download the application. Follow the directions on the TextPad Web site to properly install TextPad. 2. After you have installed TextPad, download the file TP4cliplib-Poser4.zip from: http://www.krown-products.net/meshworks/Products/TP4cliplib.html 3. If you have TextPad installed on your c drive, then go ahead and unzip to the "TextPad 4" default location (c:/program files). If you have TextPad installed in a different location, then browse to find the location of the directory called "TextPad 4", and unzip to this same location. Using the Poser Clip Libraries for TextPad ----------------------------------------- 1. After you have installed TextPad and the Poser Clip Libraries, open the TextPad application. 2. Under the "View" menu, make sure that "Clip Library" is checked. 3. The available Clip Libraries will appear on the lower half of the left hand side of the TextPad Window. 4. Double click on any of the items in the Clip Library to insert the tag for that item into your TextPad document. 5. Edit the tags in the main TextPad window as needed to create your Poser file. 6. The Poser Tags library contains templates of all of the tags for Poser version 4. New libraries for versions 5 through 8 will be available separately. Using the Poser Color Syntax Hi lighting With TextPad -------------------------------------------------- 1. Open the TextPad application. 2. Make sure you have no open documents. Inside the Configure menu choose "Preferences". Click on "Document Classes". 3. In the middle of the window there should be a white area listing computer languages. Click the New button (Left of the big X) to add a new language. Name it Poser and hit Enter. Then click Apply at the bottom. 4. Now Click the + next to the Document Classes to open up the languages. Select Poser. Now to the right there should be a white space. Click on the New button at the bottom. Then type *.Poser in the space and hit Enter, and then Apply. 5. Click on the plus next to Poser on the left menu. You should get a list of :Colors, Font, Printing, Syntax, and Tabs. Select Syntax. Make sure the checkbox is marked to Enable Syntax Highlighting. Then select the Poser.syn file from the list and click OK. 6. Now when you open a file with the Poser extensions, certain text will be colored. To change the colors select Colors from below the Poser menu. The main colors to change are: Keywords 1, (Parameters) Keywords 2, (Variables) Keywords 3, (yes/no parameters. ie; 0 or 1) Comments, Characters, and Strings.
